Offering Telehealth Mental Health Services

As a telehealth mental health provider, I am able to offer convenient, accessible, and supportive care online to a wide range of people. PSYPACT allows me to see clients outside of the state of Virginia, where I am primarily licensed, via telehealth.

If you are unable to travel easily due to energy, time, or accessibility limitations, seeking therapy online is a great option. Contrary to what you might expect, the research indicates that telehealth services are as effective, and sometimes slightly more effective, than in person services.

Through my PSYPACT certification, I am qualified to provide psychological services in most states. This means that we can do online therapy sessions with a HIPAA compliant, secure platform across state lines. To find out if your state qualifies, please see the list below.

Internal Family Systems Therapist

As a Certified IFS Therapist, I’m passionate about promoting healing and cultivating a sense of wholeness, whether we work together in person or online.

Telehealth allows me to bring IFS therapy to areas that may be underserved or do not have in-person access to IFS therapists. I’ve seen time and time again how effective IFS is at changing family dynamics and creating space for healing and growth, and I’m excited and honored to be able to serve you via telehealth.

I offer telehealth appointments for:

  • Individuals
  • Families
  • Couples

If you are seeking online individual therapy, online couples therapy, or online family therapy for adult family members you’re in the right place. Via telehealth, we can work through estrangement, reconciliation, develop healthier communication styles, change harmful family patterns, and navigate eating disorders within the family unit just as effectively as if we were to meet in person.

Online Individual Therapy

If you’ve never done online individual therapy before, it may seem a bit daunting. But online therapy is easy, accessible, and just as supportive as in-person therapy. Our sessions will be secure, confidential, and HIPAA compliant.

Online individual therapy can help with issues like:

  • Difficult life transitions
  • Lack of work-life balance
  • Feeling “stuck”
  • Low self-esteem, low self-worth
  • Issues setting boundaries
  • Relationship struggles
  • Determining your values and goals
  • Processing toxic family dynamics
  • Navigating eating disorder recovery

All you need for our online individual therapy sessions is a high speed internet connection, a safe space, and some privacy. I’m sorry, that means I don’t provide therapy to clients while they are driving. For more information on how I work with individuals, please visit the individual therapy services page.

Online Family Therapy for Adults

Sometimes family members live in different places but still want to work together toward family healing. Online family therapy for adult family members makes this possible. Our sessions will be secure, confidential, and HIPAA compliant.

Online family therapy for adults can help with issues like:

  • Redefining parent-child relationships or adult sibling relationships
  • Healing harmful family dynamics
  • Replacing unhealthy communication patterns with healthier, more productive ones
  • Navigating disordered eating and the family dynamics surrounding them

All you need for our online family therapy sessions is a high speed internet connection! For more information about how I work with families, please visit the family therapy services page.

Online Couples Therapy

It can be difficult to find a time when you and your partner can both attend therapy in person. With two jobs and two schedules to take into consideration, online couples therapy makes it much easier to “do the work” and come together in a therapeutic setting.

Online couples therapy can help with issues like:

  • Difficulty connecting emotionally or physically
  • Poor communication
  • Differences in parenting styles, financial management, or household responsibilities
  • Differences in sexual desire
  • Intense and overwhelming arguments

Our sessions will be secure, confidential, and HIPAA compliant. All you need for our online couples therapy sessions is a high speed internet connection! For more information on how I work with couples, please visit the couples therapy services page.

Which states allow telehealth across state lines?

PSYPACT states include:

Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Connecticut, Delaware, DC, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. I am able to provide telehealth mental health services to residents in any of these states.

Why seek a telehealth mental health provider?

Accessibility! You can take your appointment from anywhere in Virginia or any of the PSYPACT states listed above. No traffic, no commute—you can do therapy from the comfort of your own space. If you have limitations that make it difficult or impossible to travel, telehealth mental health appointments make it easy for you to receive the care you need from the comfort of your own home. Fitting therapy into your busy day has never been easier.

My hope is that telehealth makes your therapeutic journey a little easier and more accessible. You can attend our meetings anywhere you’re comfortable (that has high-speed internet). Whether in the privacy of your home, a quiet corner in a park, or from your car on a lunch break, our appointment is just a video call away. Our telehealth appointments are secure and private, so your online session will be as safe and confidential as an in-person visit to my office. The goal of telehealth services is to make mental health care more accessible and able to meet the demands of your life.
