Deepen Your Internal Family Systems Work With an IFS Approved Clinical Consultant

IFS Consultation for Therapists & Mental Health Providers

Collaborative, Reflective Consultation With Dr. Jeannie Berger, IFS Certified Therapist and IFS Approved Clinical Consultant

IFS consultation offers therapists a place to slow down, reflect, and think together about their work. It’s a space to deepen your relationship with the Internal Family Systems model—both in how you work with clients and how you relate to yourself as a therapist.

As an IFS Approved Clinical Consultant, I offer clinical consultation that counts toward IFS certification requirements. I also welcome mental health providers who are drawn to IFS and want a thoughtful, supportive place to grow, whether or not certification is your goal.

This work is not about performance or evaluation. It’s about understanding what’s happening in the room and internally for your clients and yourself.

What Consultation With Me Is Like

My approach to IFS consultation is collaborative, relational, and grounded in care for both you and the work you do with your clients.

We attend not only to your clients’ systems, but also to your own internal experience as a therapist. Often, the most meaningful shifts come from gently noticing the parts of us that show up in sessions, the ones that feel responsible, uncertain, protective, worried, or pulled to help in particular ways.

Consultation is a space to:

  • Bring curiosity to those parts
  • Untangle from them with kindness
  • Strengthen your capacity to lead from Self

Rather than focusing on getting things “right,” we focus on understanding how you show up in the work, what may be getting in the way, and how to practice IFS therapy.

How IFS Consultation Can Support You

Working with an IFS Approved Clinical Consultant can help you:

    • Expand your understanding of IFS concepts as they emerge in therapy sessions
    • Feel more grounded and confident when working with complex systems
    • Notice and gently work with your internal responses to clients
    • Understand how your system’s reactions may be shaping the work
    • Find clarity when you feel stuck, uncertain, or overwhelmed
    • Integrate Internal Family Systems in a way that fits you as a therapist
    • Gain hours towards your IFS certification

Many therapists find that IFS consultation supports not only their clinical effectiveness but also their sustainability, curiosity, and connection to the work over time.

Meet Dr. Jeannie Berger, IFS Consultant

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, IFS Certified Therapist, and IFS Approved Clinical Consultant. I bring a steady, relational approach to consultation that honors both the structure of the model and the lived experience of the therapist.

I’m especially interested in how therapists’ own parts interact with their clients’ systems, and how increasing awareness, compassion, and Self-energy can shift the work in meaningful ways. Consultation with me is not evaluative. It’s a place to reflect, explore, and grow as a therapist.
